Premier Padel is the official global padel tour, governed by FIP and backed by the Professional Padel Association (PPA) and Qatar Sports Investments (QSI). The new tour represents the crown jewel of the events organized by the International Padel Federation,  whose goal is to promote the sport around the world.

The tournaments included Premier Padel are split into three categories: the four Majors, the P1 and the P2 tournaments. The best couples will qualify for the Finals, the season-finale.

The four Major tournaments, just like the Grand Slam in tennis, are the most prestigious events in the new tour started in 2022. All the best players compete in those events hosted in Qatar (Doha, 26 March-3 April), Italy (Foro Italico in Rome, 21-29 May), France (Roland Garros in Paris, 9-17 July) and Mexico (Monterrey, 26 November-4 December).

The FIP tour also includes four other lower category tournaments - FIP Gold (the most important, created in 2021), FIP Star, FIP Rise and FIP Promotion -, leading to the FIP Finals at the end of the season.

Every tournament, from the Majors of the Premier Padel tour to the FIP Promotion events, awards FIP world rankings points. The world rankings, currently led by the Spaniards Ale Galan and Juan Lebron, are based on the points earned by each individual player in the tour over the preceding 12-months time frame, as it happens in tennis.

The International Padel Federation organize also World and European Team Championships for professional players, juniors (18 and under), Seniors. Those competitions take place every two years.
